To successfully manage non-functional requirements (NFRs), I shift them "left" by embedding them into the Definition of Ready (DoR).

  • Accessibility as a Feature: I mandate that WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA standards are treated as functional requirements. We use "Accessibility Acceptance Criteria" (e.g., keyboard navigation flow, ARIA labeling) in every user story.
