This deep functional analysis informs a robust test strategy, encompassing exploratory testing for unknown unknowns and structured test case design for critical paths.

During execution, particularly under delivery pressure, I prioritize testing based on impact and likelihood of failure, using risk matrices. We track Test Execution Progress closely, identifying bottlenecks and adjusting resources. Beyond pass/fail, we capture detailed defect root causes and reproduction steps, enabling developers to fix efficiently. Manual regression analysis focuses on high-risk areas to prevent recurrence.

Our insights become decision-grade data through metrics. A high Defect Leakage Rate post-release signals a need to strengthen regression or exploratory testing in specific areas. A rising Defect Reopen Rate indicates either inadequate fixes or environmental instability, prompting deeper investigation or process adjustments with Dev.
