  1. Understand the Architecture & Define Scope:

    • Collaboration: I initiate detailed discussions with Developers and Product Managers to understand the authentication architecture, including identity providers, specific protocols (e.g., OAuth, SAML, JWT), token management, and data flows between services. This helps map out all critical touchpoints without needing to delve into code.
    • User Journeys: We identify all key user journeys involving authentication across services: initial login, single sign-on (SSO), re-authentication, logout, session expiration, password resets, account linking/unlinking, and permission changes.
  2. Structured Manual Test Design:
